With Google Earth, teachers and students can not only explore Earth's location in 2D and 3D, but also create and share custom maps. Some of Google Earth features are:

• search for and add places

• drop pins to mark locations

• add lines, shapes, colors, markers, icons, and labels

• use layers to group parts of your map
