Web Tools


While Google lays the foundation for Chromebook use in the classroom, there are so many more web tools out there that can enhance your curriculum. Be prepared for a rush of tools, remember this page will be around for a while, so you can come back to it later!

  1. Pikochart 
    Infographics have really made a big splash out on the web in the last five years. This tool allows you to beautifully design posters, infographics, etc. 
  2. Animoto
    Upload your images, music and videos and include text, then Animoto generates a professional, always original, presentation. 
  3. Online video editing has never been easier. These three tools offer you and students an opportunity to put together videos without using iMovie or MovieMaker. WeVideo will publish directly to Google Drive.
  4. Collaborative single canvas bulletin boards. Add photos and text. Great for collaborative collection of ideas, resources, and topic feedback.
  5. Tackk.com 
    A website that allows anyone to create a simple, but elegant web page. You can include video and images.
  6. Mind Maps
    Mindomo Chrome App - A simple and elegant tool that has a free accounts for students if you use the Chrome App.
    Popplet - Collaborative single canvas presentation tool or dynamic mind map. Directly upload from flickr, Vimeo, YouTube, Google Maps or from your computer. Export to Twitter, Facebook, or share link.

  7. Toon Doo
    Allows the creator to make comic pages, books, design characters, upload and manipulate photos, and add artistic touches. 
  8. StoryJumper
    Create a story using your own artwork or photos to create books, or use the site's characters, clips and scenes.
