Update Your ELA Teaching Strategies with Google Docs

This all-day workshop will help you modernize your English classroom with 21st century skills and increase student engagement. You will learn specific strategies that combine ELA Common Core standards with Google Documents, Forms, and Drive. Proven techniques and tips for management will be shared and practiced throughout the day.

Our plan for the day involves

  • Exploring specific strategies on how to transfer ELA literacy and writing strategies to Google Docs.
  • Learning methods to collect assignments from students.

A Note about Teacher Websites
As you do more digital assignments, a teacher website has never been more important. Google Drive allows you to publish and share documents as URLs, but you cannot expect students to type them in, they need to be embedded some where.
